The blind spot between the sexes
Each partner rated the same intimate activities on their own. Side by side, the answers reveal where women and men quietly want very different things, and never guess it about each other.
“Anal sex”
the widest gap between women and men we foundWhat she wants more often than he expects
Activities where far more women than men are up for it. The kind of thing partners rarely guess about each other.
What he wants more often than she expects
The mirror image: activities where far more men than women lean in. Same survey, opposite blind spot.
So who says yes more often, overall?
The two rankings above are the extremes. Across all 112 activities the split looks like this - and on 45 of them the difference is too small to call.
Counted in activities, not percentages: each one is a single activity from the game.
Method
Both partners answered the same activities separately, never seeing each other’s choices. For each activity we count the share of women and the share of men who picked “Yes, but I’m shy about it” or “Love this!” and rank activities by the gap between the two. Only activities answered by at least 100 women and 100 men are shown. In the overall split a difference counts as clear only when it survives a test on the couples who disagreed - a small gap on a small sample stays in the undecided group. Anonymized and aggregated; no response can be traced to a person or couple.
